What we’ll be making: Beautiful Christmas wreaths created from recycled, repurposed and mixed-media craft materials.

Get ready to turn everyday materials into something wonderfully festive!

In this creative workshop, children will design and create their very own upcycled Christmas wreath, using a huge variety of recycled and repurposed materials, mixed media and crafty treasures. They’ll experiment with colour, texture, shape and layering to build a unique wreath filled with their own creative ideas.

Rather than following a set template, children will be encouraged to look at materials in a new way and discover what they can become. Scraps, cardboard, paper, fabric, ribbons and other crafty odds and ends can be transformed into festive decorations, flowers, foliage, ornaments and all sorts of unexpected details.

Along the way, children will develop skills in composition, colour choice, construction, layering, fine-motor skills and creative problem-solving, while discovering the joy of making something beautiful from materials that might otherwise be thrown away.

Every wreath will be completely different, making it a lovely handmade decoration to take home and display throughout the Christmas season.

Need a couple of hours for Christmas prep? Children aged 5+ can be dropped off, giving you time to shop, wrap, organise or simply grab a coffee while we take care of the screen-free Christmas creativity. Younger children are also welcome to participate with a supervising parent or caregiver.
