Nature Craft Club with Cristina | Ages 2 - 6 | Term Pass

Nature Craft Club is a gentle, hands-on creative program designed for toddlers and young children to enjoy alongside a parent or caregiver. Each week, families will gather in a welcoming studio environment to explore nature-inspired art and craft projects using a variety of natural, recycled, and sensory-rich materials.

Through guided activities, children will have opportunities to create, experiment, imagine, and connect with the world around them. The focus is on the joy of making together, encouraging curiosity, creativity, and confidence while developing fine motor skills and an appreciation for nature. All materials are provided, and each session includes a special handmade creation to take home.


Week 2: Bug Hotels

Become a tiny architect and create a cosy home for garden insects. Children will begin by decorating and personalising their own bug hotel box before filling it with a carefully selected collection of natural materials, including pine cones, bark, twigs, leaves, seed pods, and other nature treasures. Along the way, we will explore the important role insects play in our environment and discuss the different places bugs like to hide and shelter. This hands-on project encourages creativity, problem-solving, and a deeper appreciation for the small creatures that share our gardens.


Week 3: Bird Nests

Inspired by birds in the wild, children will use homemade gluten-free salt dough and a variety of natural materials to design and build their own miniature bird nests. Using sticks, leaves, feathers, grasses, seed pods, and other nature treasures, participants will create a unique nest to take home. 

Week 4: Self Portraits

In this creative self-expression activity, children will begin by drawing a simple self-portrait before transforming it into a beautiful nature-inspired artwork. Using flowers, leaves, petals, grasses, sticks, and other natural materials, participants will explore the art of collage while creating a portrait that reflects their personality and creativity. This project encourages observation, imagination, and an appreciation for the colours, textures, and patterns found in nature.

Week 5: Rainbow Nature Wheels

Celebrate the colours of nature by creating a beautiful rainbow wheel artwork. Children will paint their own rainbow colour wheel before exploring a collection of natural materials to find leaves, flowers, petals, seeds, and other treasures that match each colour. As they create, participants will develop colour recognition skills and learn to notice the incredible variety of colours found in the natural world. Once complete, the artwork will be transformed into a hanging nature decoration that can be displayed at home as a colourful reminder of their creative adventure.

Week 6: Wind Chimes 

Create a beautiful nature-inspired decoration designed to dance and sway in the breeze. Using vines, gum nuts, pine cones, seed pods, sticks, leaves, and other natural treasures, children will design and assemble their own hanging mobile or wind chime. This project encourages creative design and problem-solving while celebrating the beauty of natural materials. The finished piece will make a wonderful addition to a garden, patio, bedroom, or outdoor play space.

Week 7: Wearable Art

Design and create wearable art inspired by the natural world. Children will craft their own necklaces, bracelets, and decorative accessories using leaves, seeds, nuts, wooden beads, and other colourful natural materials. Participants will explore patterns, colours, and textures while creating unique jewellery pieces that reflect their individual creativity. This activity combines imaginative play with fine motor skill development and provides a beautiful, handmade keepsake to take home.

Week 8: Nature Paint Lab

Put on your scientist hat and become a nature artist as we experiment with making our own natural paints. Children will explore colour and texture by creating paints from mud, spices, and other natural ingredients before experimenting with brushes, sticks, leaves, flowers, and found objects to stamp, print, and paint. This sensory-rich session celebrates curiosity and creative exploration, encouraging children to investigate how different materials can be transformed into art-making tools.

Week 9: Nature Trees & Landscapes

Finish the term by creating a beautiful mixed-media nature artwork inspired by the world around us. Children will paint their own background before using sticks, leaves, flowers, bark, and other natural materials to build trees, landscapes, and imaginative outdoor scenes. This project brings together many of the creative skills explored throughout the term and provides a wonderful opportunity for children to reflect on their connection with nature while creating a special artwork to treasure.
