A creative textile arts program inspired by traditional handcraft and Waldorf-style handwork. Each week, children will explore a new fibre or textile technique while creating something beautiful to use, wear or treasure.
Through felting, weaving, finger knitting, sewing and yarn work, children will develop practical skills, fine motor coordination, patience, creativity and problem-solving while learning the joy of slow, hands-on making.
Natural and tactile materials are used wherever possible, with plenty of opportunity for children to experiment and develop their own ideas.
Homeschool curriculum connections are provided each week, linking the projects and skills explored to relevant learning areas.
✨ What We’ll Be Creating
Week 9 – Needle-Felted Christmas Ornaments To finish the term, children will use needle felting to create their own festive Christmas ornaments. They’ll learn how to shape wool fibres and add their own creative details to make a decoration to treasure or gift.
