Please note Term 2 is an eleven week term.
Homeschool Art Club is an 8 week program and will run every Friday afternoon from Week 2 to Week 9.

Welcome to Homeschool Art Club, an experimental space where young artists aged 5 to 11 can explore and unwind!

This club is all about trying new techniques, playing with materials, and enjoying the creative process. Each week, children are encouraged to explore ideas freely, take creative risks, and discover what they enjoy most about making art.

While guidance and inspiration are always provided, this is a relaxed, process-focused class rather than a highly structured, step-by-step program. If you’re looking for a very guided, uniform outcome each week, this may not be the right fit — but if your child loves experimenting, expressing themselves, and having fun with art, they’ll feel right at home here.

Parents are invited to drop and go for ages 5+, or stay and relax in our cosy studio while your child creates.

What We’ll Be Creating – Week by Week

Week 2 – Balancing Sculptures
We’ll work with wood, wire and beads to create playful balancing sculptures inspired by Alexander Calder, exploring movement, balance, and form.

Week 3 – Contour Self Portraits
Children will experiment with contour drawing before bringing their portraits to life as 3D line sculptures using pipe cleaners.

Week 4 – Flower Market Paintings
Inspired by the floral artwork of Alina Tang, children will create layered, negative space paintings full of colour and shape.

Week 5 – Perspex Portraits
A fun and interactive session where children take turns painting each other, creating expressive mono printed portraits using Perspex.

Week 6 – Fruit & Fabric Still Life
Using watercolour, fabric scraps, and paper, children will collage a textured still life inspired by traditional compositions.

Week 7 – Paper Marbling
A sensory favourite! Children will explore water and oil reactions, colour mixing, and layering to create a collection of beautifully marbled papers.

Week 8 – Wooden Workshop
An open-ended building session using wooden shapes, offcuts, beads and more to construct unique abstract sculptures.

Week 9 – Watercolour Gems
Children will experiment with concentric shapes and colour combinations to create shimmering artworks inspired by crystals and rock formations.

All materials are provided — just bring your imagination!
