Felted Easter Bunnies

In this Easter workshop, children will create a felted bunny “painting” using the beautiful process of needle felting. Working with soft, colourful wool fibres, they’ll layer, shape, and gently felt their design to form a sweet spring-inspired artwork featuring their very own bunny.

Guided step by step, students will learn how loose wool transforms into fabric through the needle felting process. They’ll explore how fibres blend, how layers build strength, and how simple shapes — long ears, round cheeks, tiny noses — come together to create character and expression.

Children will design their bunny’s colours and background, experimenting with colour and subtle texture. As they work, they’ll see the magic of the fibres binding together to form a cohesive, sturdy felt surface.

All materials are provided, including high-quality wool roving, felting needles, and backing materials — so every child will leave with a finished felted bunny picture ready to display at home.

Children will experience the joy of turning something soft and loose into something strong and lasting — entirely with their own hands.
