Dragon Kingdom with Natalie | Ages 5 - 11

Enter a world of ancient legends and fiery imagination in this magical dragon-sculpting workshop, where children will bring their very own mythical creatures to life using air-dry clay.

Guided through the fundamentals of ceramic hand-building, young makers will learn how to pinch, roll, shape, and sculpt clay as they create imaginative dragons bursting with personality — from fierce flying guardians to gentle forest dragons with curling tails, wings, spikes, and scales. Every dragon will be entirely unique, inspired by each child’s creativity and storytelling imagination.

As they sculpt, children will also be developing fine motor skills, creative confidence, patience, and problem-solving through tactile, hands-on making. This workshop encourages children to explore ideas freely while discovering the joy of transforming a simple lump of clay into a creature from their own fantasy world.

Because we’ll be working with air-dry clay, children will be able to take their dragon creations home on the very same day. Once fully dried, families can continue the creativity by painting the sculptures with acrylic paints, adding colourful details, shimmering scales, and magical finishing touches at home.

Perfect for children who love fantasy, mythical creatures, storytelling, and building in three dimensions, this workshop offers a playful and inspiring introduction to ceramic hand-building while creating a treasured handmade keepsake to display for years to come. If enough time remains in the session, children are welcome to create extra details with clay such as dragon eggs and nests.
