Cosmic Canvas Painting

In this workshop, children will create their own space-inspired painting on stretched canvas using acrylic paints, stencils, and a variety of fun techniques. Exploring galaxies, planets, and starry skies, they’ll experiment with colour, texture, and simple brushwork to bring their canvas to life.

Guided step by step, students will learn how to mix colours, use tracing and stencil techniques, and develop confident brush control. They’ll discover how to build layers of paint to create depth, use blending for glowing space effects, and try playful techniques such as splatter painting to design their artwork.

All materials are provided, and we’ll be working with fast-drying acrylic paints on stretched canvas—so every child will leave with a finished artwork ready to display at home the very same day.

Painting on canvas is not only a fun and creative experience, but it also helps strengthen coordination, concentration, and visual planning skills. The process encourages children to make their own artistic choices, explore their ideas, and build confidence as they see their ideas take shape.
