This hands-on workshop offers a chance to slow down and reconnect with making through clay.
Guided by ceramic artist Yentl, participants will explore the pinch pot technique, learning how to form and shape a ceramic mug using simple hand-building methods.
The process is calm and immersive, inviting curiosity as clay gradually takes on both form and function.
The workshop is open to adults and also welcomes teens when accompanied by a participating adult.
No prior experience is needed — beginners are supported with step-by-step demonstrations and the freedom to move at a pace that feels comfortable and intuitive.
Alongside building their mugs, participants will use glazes to add colour and surface design, giving each piece a personal finish. The studio is relaxed and welcoming, with guidance available throughout.
Tea, coffee, and hot chocolate are provided, encouraging everyone to settle in and enjoy the experience.
You’ll complete a handmade ceramic mug and the satisfaction of having spent time creating something both useful and meaningful by hand.
All work will be bisque and glaze fired before being ready for collection in approximately 5 weeks.
