Ceramic Mugs with Yentl

Join us at Marigold Studio for a calming, hands-on workshop where you’ll learn to create your very own handmade ceramic mug.

In this session, Yentl will guide you step-by-step through the pinch pot technique, transforming a simple ball of clay into a beautifully formed mug. You’ll learn how to shape and refine your piece, as well as how to craft and securely attach a handle.

To complete your creation, you’ll also have the opportunity to glaze your mug, choosing designs that reflect your personal style. Mugs will be dried then bisque fired. Next our team will apply a clear glaze and fire them for a second time so you’ll receive a functional and dishwasher safe piece. 

This workshop is designed to be a slow, relaxing experience—perfect for unwinding during the cooler autumn months. We’ll have tea, coffee, and biscuits on hand, so you can settle in, get creative, and enjoy a cozy afternoon in the studio.
Teens welcome with participating adult.

No prior experience is necessary—just bring yourself and a willingness to get a little muddy.

Tea, coffee, and hot chocolate are provided, encouraging everyone to settle in and enjoy the experience. 

All work will be bisque and glaze fired before being ready for collection in approximately 5 weeks.
