Ceramic Keep Cup with Yentl

This workshop invites you to slow down and spend time making with clay in a thoughtful, hands-on way.
Led by ceramic artist Yentl, participants will learn slab-building techniques to construct their own ceramic keep cup, exploring how flat sheets of clay can be shaped, joined, and refined into a functional form.
The process is calm and engaging, encouraging focus, experimentation, and an appreciation for working with your hands.

Open to adults and welcoming teens when accompanied by a participating adult, the workshop is well suited to beginners.
Clear demonstrations and gentle guidance support participants as they work at a pace that feels comfortable, allowing space for individual expression and discovery.

Participants will also decorate their keep cups using glazes, adding colour and surface design to personalise their work. The studio atmosphere is relaxed and inviting, with support available throughout the session.
Tea, coffee, and hot chocolate are provided, making it easy to settle in and enjoy the creative flow. You’ll leave with a handmade ceramic keep cup and the quiet satisfaction of having created something useful and considered by hand.

Pieces will be both bisque and glaze fired before being ready for collection in approximately 5 weeks.
