Ceramic Fairy Houses

In this fun workshop children explore the fundamentals of ceramic hand-building while creating their own unique fairy house. We begin by working with a strong, red clay that’s perfect for sculpting. Kids will learn slab-building techniques and hand-modelling skills as they shape, design, and personalise their ceramic creation.

After constructing their fairy house, children will use coloured glazes to bring their piece to life. The artwork is then dried and bisque fired. Our studio team applies a clear glaze before giving each piece a second glaze firing. The full process takes approximately six weeks, after which the finished pottery will be ready for collection.

This class is ideal for children who love three-dimensional building or are excited to work with clay for the first time.
