Adopt a Halloween Monster with Natalie

Join us for a fun Halloween workshop where children will create their very own clay monster to adopt and take home.

Children will be introduced to the fundamentals of hand-building with air-dry clay as they shape, join and add details to their monster sculptures. They’ll explore texture, form and decorative techniques to create funny faces, horns, teeth, tentacles and other wonderfully strange features.

There will be plenty of room for individual creativity as children design their monster’s appearance and personality. Monsters can be spooky, silly, colourful or completely peculiar—every creature will be unique!

Once their monsters are complete, children will name their new creature and create a personalised adoption certificate featuring details such as its favourite food, personality, special powers and care instructions.

All materials and tools are provided, including air-dry clay, paint, decorative materials and adoption certificates.

This workshop is perfect for children who love Halloween, imaginative characters and hands-on creative making. They’ll learn new clay-building skills while creating a one-of-a-kind monster friend to adopt and take home.

Parents are welcome to stay and observe, or to drop off children aged six and over. If you are dropping your child off, a sign-in sheet and consent waiver will be provided for a parent or guardian to complete at the beginning of the class. We are conveniently located next to Patisserie Bleu and John Connell Reserve Playground.
